| yes, i would do a few tests on the bike. first off, run the bike for about 20 secs from a cold start then turn it off. drain just a bit of the gear oil into a small clear container. let it sit for about 10mins. if you see any water settling on the top, confront him about this problem. next, pull the sparkplug and look for any signs of rust on it. try to look into the bore with a flashlight and see if you can see any rust. of course, check the air filter. if you are serious about buying the bike and you dont think he will get mad, ask him about the photo. ask him what he did to restore the bike after being in the lake. if its running though i wouldnt be too concerned because rust shouldnt happen then.
