| Body position Alright well there seems to be alot of disscussion lately about body position, i know im pretty new here but i think i can help a few people out. Well you should first learn the attack position, standing, head slightly over the plate, and forearms relaxed and they are bent, it matters on how tall you are for how much they are bent. When you are going into a bermed turn you get on the gas tank, your crotch should be where the cap is. your leg should be out and it shouldnt be all bent up and dragging the ground. your knee wont like it if you get caught in a rut. keep it skimming the ground. And when you power out of the turn move to the back of the bike to get some traction, get a handful of clutch and throttle, and go.when you get on a flat turn you have to use your back brake to get around it faster (or atleast i think so, everybody is different) but when you go into the turn get on the front of the bike. but lock your back brake up and slide to the back of your bike when you do this to keep from sliding to far, and all in one motion since your clutch is already in gas it and let go when you are lined up, just be cautious because the back end will come around on you if you give it full throttle, i dont care how far back you are on the bike. But when the track is all worn down and the 4 wheelers are done is my favorite turn. when there is a small berm that is pretty steep(im talking maybe about 2 feet high) but when you go into these turns keep youre weight back on the bike and stay on the gas the whole way through. let off a bit at the beggining to keep control and then about a 1/4 of the way through give it full throttle and use the clutch and keep your leg sticking out right under the handlebars or youll mess up your ankle. Now comes to jumps. be in the attack position on the face of the jump and get enough speed before the jump. you dont want to be giving it gas on the face of the jump because this will make you loft higher in the air and keep you from shooting across the gap, which is quicker. but stay "on top" of the bike when you go off the jump(youll understand when you are riding) and when you land bend youre legs a little bit and use them to absorb the shock, look as being in the air as a time to rest and regain some strength, dont get all tense or you will panic, and we all know what happens when someone panics. But whoops are sorta funny. you either have to give it youre all or go over them slow, cuz if try to go halfway youre screwed. but when you start in the whoops stay in the attack position and lean back a little bit, and i emphasize when i say a little bit. pull up with youre arms like you are doing a triceps curl and stay on the gas, that is very important. if you all of a sudden let off the gas youll start flopping in and out of the whoops, youll prob end up wrecking. if then back end gets squirley let off the gas and try to correct it. if you cant you ar in for one hell of a ride. well i hope i helped some of you, and jusr remember this, it gets easier the faster you go. it doesnt make much sence but the more you give it gas the less youll wreck, in certain instances of course. If anybody has anything to add to thiss go right ahead.
