Tip for changing tires

The old steel garbage cans of years past provide a great impromptu tire-changing stand. It’s just about the right height to give you a good amount of leverage without kneeling on the garage floor, ruining your sprocket or disc. And if you throw an old tarp (or something similar) over the top of the can before you set your tire on, it will keep any parts or tools from falling through to the bottom.
