Thor has been an industry leader for a while now, however, they realize not everyone has the money for their top of the line stuff. So they set out on a mission, to give the little guy the very best at a price he could afford, and the result, was the Phase line. I bought my set of Phase gear (jersey, pants, gloves) in 07, it has held up very well, the gloves, 2 years later, need replacing, but the rest of it should be good to go for at least 2 more years, thats right, 4 years out of a gear set. Thor really did a great job on these. I ride alot, about 2-3 times a week average, so they get used quite a bit especially considering that its my only set of gear. I have never been uncomfortable in them at times where I should have been, aka I dont expect to be cool when it is 100 degrees outside, But it has never been unbearable, when it is hot, they do great. The pants do Ok when it is cold, but the jersey is too thin so a coat of some sort should be worn.  The gloves work good in the heat, well vented. The gloves are among the best Ive ever worn, they last,  offer plenty of grip. They are good enough that I will be buying another pair here soon, just wont match my slightly older gear but oh well, no sense in replacing  a perfectly good set of gear. The pants and jersey have pads at the knees, hips, elbows, shoulders, and the stitching is top notch, I havent had one come loose on me yet and like I said before, I ride alot. Thor did a great job, the phase line holds up good, is comfortable, looks great, and is at a reasonable price, will I buy it again? You bet! At the moment the only reason why I would get new gear is because it would be nice to have a change, but Im not fixing whats not broken.
