| Yes, a filter and pipe combo will dealt you much better results. And with that large of a change in air flow, jetting will have to be changed. A jet kit makes it easy but is by no means a must. You can buy individual jets too. Just realize that with a jet kit you can no longer just go buy jets because they will not fit anymore. It is however not true that you will not need to jet if you get a pipe. Many people will have you believe you don't need to jet for a pipe, hell, many people believe switching from a stock to aftermarket air filter doesn't require a jetting adjustment. Anything you do to the engine like that requires jetting to get every ounce of power. Otherwise you just wasted $300 of your money.
