Where I come from you can only ride on fire roads and in designated riding areas. But really the designated riding areas are wide open... Like trails all through a national forest. Most of the time your local clubs will maintain these. I would think a state like you live in being the land of 1000 lakes would let people ride where ever since there is a bunch of wilderness out there. Maybe check with a local attorney to make sure they are not playing you .
