I would suspect that you your shock may have lost some of its charge (the nitrogen pressure in the bladder puts pressure on the oil and it forces the piston/shock shaft out of the shock body, loss of pressure in the bladder will cause the shaft to have less pressure pushing it out), linkage needs to be greased or you have a worn out bearing on the linkage where the shock mounts onto the linkage. That bearing is common to wear more than the others in the linkage.
