and once it is running it will start and go into gear fine right?
sounds like the clutch plates are sticking
do you use your clutch much? (for every gear)
it kinda sounds like you clutch is not worn in yet
when you go to shift it into 1st gear you bike's chain get taught and pulls the bike forward doesn't it?
to get it loosened up put it in a high gear (with the engine off, holding the kill switch) pull the clutch in and move it back and forth until the clutch slips then go to start your engine from neutral and you shouldn't have a problem when you put it in first
i wonder if they soaked the plates in oil before then installed them?
use the clutch more and this problem should dissipate
