Yes, but the Power Bomb was made for another reason as well. It is a great silencer while keeping weight down and adding some performance but it is not that big of a deal.

I will back gscx with this. 2 strokes work on a completely different theory. The exhaust gases help evacuate the new exhaust gases coming from the exhaust port. It works on a different level of sonics. One that math barely tempts touch touch.

people make a big deal out of it though, slip ons give you more gain for the money, and headpipes dont give that much of a gain really

Well, it may give you something but you almost break even because the silencer in it hampers flow to an extent. I would just get a super nice Yoshi or Sparks header if you want gains. If the Power Bomb actually did actually deal out the power more people would have them.

i always thought the fatty pushed a little extra air in while it was pushing the exhaust gases back in. or at least thats how i understood this...Howstuffworks "Why is there a bulge in the exhaust pipe of my dirt bike?"

oh, i thought you said it just pushed the gas back in, and no extra air? either way tig, this is very interesting and whoever came up with such an invention must have been a very smart man.
