Jim and I were at a freshly groomed personal track and after a few hours of riding, the faces of jumps were super rutted.

Just Jim and I. We would pretty much idle up to a jump and crack the throttle to clear even the biggest jump there.

i dont think i have ever left a comment in this thread. well 4 strokes are better for racing, im not gonna lie about it, they do have more power down low. but any good rider will tell you that 4 strokes arent meant to be bogged down, they should be screaming just like the 2 stroke. and 4s also have more top end than a 2 stroke, but nobody thinks that for some reason... if you are just a weekend rider at your local track and race during the season but dont take it that seriously then you should get a 2 stroke. think about it, when was the last time you lost a race because you didnt have a mighty 4 stroke? i can garantee never. if you lose its because of yourself and not the bike. but if you really take it dead serious and have the money, then power to you on a 4 stroke, thats just what i have to say. oh and tig, 2 strokes teach more riding skills because of where the power is. try riding a 125 and then go jump on a 250 4 stroke, you will be alot faster than just riding the 250 4 stroke by itself
