even on the yzf in the test he would, read the graph! the 250 has more power in almost every rpm range.

I would never compare bikes out of their class. I was saying as if I was on the YZ250F, not my CRF450R.

however, i really dont think either are superior, ive ridden my cousin's crf250r, and i wasnt super impressed or anything. yeah, it had more power, but not enough to spend +1k! also, it felt super heavy, like in the air, i couldnt believe it, there was nothing to do with it. and around corners, i felt much better about handling the rm. im glad i bought the rm instead.

Ya, things like that is where personal preference comes into play. How it feels to you should determine your bike.

2troke is on a distinguished road
I wonder if the new KTM 144 is any competition for a 250 4? I hope KTM brings back 2 strokes into racing again.

But everyone knows a 500 2t will smoke any 4 stroke if the rider can control it. I know a guy who owns a KTM 550 and its making about 70hp - 80hp.

Yes, the 144 probably has a 250 4 stroke in top speed. Torque it is still lacking.

Why do people always refer to 2 strokes as "2t"? Sorry, I just never have understood that.

because at the races there isnt a 125 and 250 class anymore, it is just 250 and open class, so you have to make a clear identification of which bike you are talking about
