there is actual four stroke oil down there, the air is to move it around and push it up like a pump. either that or they could use like sealed bearings or something

that makes sense. i figured there had to be 4t oil somewhere. this means that there would be no need for 2t oil right? it seems like not having to burn the oil would up the power a bit.

yep. this method has been used on boats and stuff for quite some time now, the original problem was getting the oil up in the cylinder, injecting air to pump it is what they came up with.

but that doesnt mean you can take any old 2 stroke and not use oil
this is only for direct injection
