anyways... it went ok, spent about an hour cleaning and checking stuff out, got the wrist pin bearing out, and got the left piston out, it was melted all the way down the wall. its not even resleeveable, there is a crack in the cylinder itself. its ok, i may just get 2 new cylinders. i got alot of the rust out of the right cylinder with pb blaster and a paper towel, but i cant get the rust towards the top off... any ideas?
the crank looks just fine, but i have no idea where the pieces of the piston went, they do not sound like they are in the bottom end. am going to buy a jug of wd40 and pour it in the bottom end to flush it out.
oh, and the connecting rods are able to move sideways just the tiniest bit.
is it going to be ok like that? or do i need to split the cases?

the cylinders are steel sleeved, you can just hone the rust out, which you will have to do anyways. And most of the piston probly went out of the exhaust. And you should probly split the cases. Its not that hard.
2001 YZ-426f- Aftermarket radiators,radiator braces, rebuilt forks, new linkage bearings, new piston, wrapped header, 5th dragon graphics(or some shit), TAG tripple tree(Thanks TDB) and Turner OV bars.
im debating on parting out the bottom end and saving to buy a new motor, or just manning up and splitting the cases. wait, what about the play in the connecting rods?
