Just throwing up some pics of my 78 elan. Any members her got one? I love this little thing. It goes just about anywhere, and never breks down..I've been using this one since early jan till about 1 1/2 weeks ago when the weather broke.Now the fal I'd say shes getting a fairly nice restore with a bit bigger motor. Hopefully I had a few bigger skidoos before but this is my favorite. Post any pics or comments about these great little rigs.
Wow. I'm surprised that some of you haven't seen one before?..Well alot of people own snowmobiles but by far there are many more atv's and dirtbikes . Actually me and a buddy got one. Thoses little skidoos top out at about 45km/h.As far as the caddalic of snowmobiles:smilielol5:. It has a 247cc 12hp fan cooled motor. points ignetion. The track is a 3/4 lug and 114 long. They made many models but the most common was the one with bogies like mine. The model never cahnged siginficaly from 1971 till its end at 1996. It can be cold here but the winters are tending to warm up slightly. This year was ok. We ahve about 5 feet of snow down at once in the woods . Lots for skidoos but the season was short. Here are some other pics. In the group shot mine is in the middle an the ones on left and right are my buddies skidoos. Oh and that a 340 Jag on the far right.
Well here are some of the surrounding area. The farthests it about a 4 or 5minute drive from my house. Don't really have many more pitures. In the first three pictures is the pond that my house over looks. Took the skidoo across this pond many times. The fourth and fifth pics are just common places where we take the atv's and sirt bikes. Although you can't see it in the pictures just away in the distance there are thick woods, bogs and about any other riding area you can want. The last pic is about 5 minutes away on a bike when you follow the old train tracks. The trains have been out of service since the early 80's and the removed the actuall tracks but now the railroad beds and take you all over newfoundland. There are so many plces we go skidooing and on the atv's but unfortentaly I dont have any pictures. Who knows when I gets the 50 out and around I'll snap some pics.
