Well there a number of ways, the best and easiest way is to take a pressure washer to it, but not all of us can do that eh? If you cant, there are great degreasers out there. a list: Simple Green Kaboom B-52 Gordons bleche white and many many more. If you do it simply with a hose you will need the following Degreaser a fairly stiff brush rags pressure nozzle for the hose recommended. Now that you have the tools for the job, its time to start. 1.Rinse the bike down, get as much mud,dust,and grime off like this as you can. 2.Spray degreaser on the parts that refuse to come clean. 3.allow it to sit for a minute or two. 3.scrub the spots you sprayed degreaser on. 5.rinse the bike down. 6. dry with news paper or some other method. now see what parts didnt come clean and repeat steps 2-5 after you get the dirt,grease,and mud off, its optional to add a finishing touch to the bike. I like to use a wadding polish for metal parts, such as Eagle never dull. it will give your bikes exhaust,frame,rims,and swing arm a shine like you wouldnt believe. its required to wipe the parts you rub the polish on off with a clean rag. after that you can move on to the plastics. wd40 will work for the shine, but there are better things out there. find a polish that wont harm plastics. simple green is by far the best out there in my opinion. i use it fully concentrated with no effects on my bike except excessive cleanliness. looking for a new tire look? spray simple green on your tires and let set until dry and hose off for a perfect rubber look. also try it on radiator hoses and work it into the hose by "stroking" lol the hose. let dry and hose off. does great things for everything.
never dealt with it. i can tell u greased lightening works great when cleaning off carbon but never use on aluminum. huh, who would have thought the manufacturers warnings would be real? doesnt matter though because simple green fixes it.
green all! we use it at work. it is basically simple green except like 10x the concentration. u can spray it on paint and instantly wipe paint off.
greased lightning will de anodise aluminum last time i washed mine i used a car cleaner then car wax on the plastic, the brand for both was zep and i got it at home depot, it shines now
the kid i bought my bike off painted the plastics black what can i use to get the paint off thats not going to hurt the plastic ooh and its white plastic underneath
paint thinner? anyways, take off all the little plastic pieces you would be surprised where dirt hides lol
hey freshkid. when i bought my 95 rm 125 a while ago, he painted my side panels too. they looked like poop after a week. i just left it alone but it does get scratched real easily. paint thinner should work.
acetone will take the paint off but may mix it with the plastic test the paint thinner on the back of one first
what about wiping the fenders and rims with wd40 i havent done it but i heard it makes it so the dirt comes off easier?? and keeps like rust and stuff away inno
