and it is predictable. u can feel the thread being cut. with a drill it like wtf. not that ive tried it.

ok.. i ment. u can feel the thread being cut with a wrench. u can feel if ur stuffing the thread by going to hard, and not going back 1/4 turn to clean out the swarf... etc etc

1/2 turn is better... cutting oil dose not provide lubrication its used to cool the metal and cutting bit

always use a tap wrench and make sure you use the right sized drill

no ive never thread cut on a lathe before. cuz it would take to long to do at tafe for the work we do. but they are massively acurate
