IRVING, TEXAS (March 31, 2007) – Kawasaki’s James Stewart, of Haines City, Fla., picked up his tenth win of the season in the Amp’d Mobile World Supercross GP/Amp’d Mobile AMAi Supercross Series before a crowd of 41,635 at Texas Stadium. Kawasaki’s Ben Townley, of Tallahassee, Fla., won the AMA Supercross Lites main event.
Honda’s Andrew Short, of Smithville, Texas, grabbed the $1,500 Progressive Direct Holeshot Award off the start. Short’s lead was short lived as Stewart went flying by at the start of lap three. Yamaha’s Chad Reed, of Tampa, Fla., kept him honest as only a few bike lengths separated the two riders for the remaining 18 laps.
