The 2007 Nokia Motocross Nationals ten round series started south in Victoria at the Victorian State Motorcycle Centre at Broadford on Sunday 15 April
2007. The opening round of the championship attracted a good crowd who enjoyed the racing on a warm day under a bright blue sky. Team BTX Racings Pro Lite rider Taylor Potter was there on his KTM 250 SXF and finished 12overall in his class.
“I had a very good day.” summed up 17 year old Taylor “I wanted to finish within the top 10 but I’m pleased that I achieved 12.” It was the first motocross event that I had done all year coming off the Australian Supercross Championship and with the competition in the class I’m real happy.” “The big Broadford track was in pretty good condition seeing the area is in drought and there isn’t much water around. Williams Event Management set it up well and it held up well. The Pro Opens, the last race of the day, would have found it real rough though. It pounded me hard in the Lites and then they had it for another half hour.” said Taylor. “I’m lucky I am in the Lites I suppose.”
