A Discussion on the Best Features of the Yamaha Enduro Motorcycle

The Yamaha enduro motorcycle is a specially designed dirt bike that is used for timed races over great distances which are either performed on paved or off-road conditions. Yamaha powersports enduro bikes closely resemble standard off road dirt bikes.

In order to understand the facts about Yamaha enduro bikes let’s take a look at what enduro racing is all about. Either a four-stroke or single stroke engine typically powers enduro bikes. The displacement for these bikes typically ranges between 125 to about 300 cc. There are variants that have 250cc and 650cc. Due to the demands of off road enduro racing, the dirt bike must be fitted with a suspension that can take the brunt of long distances over very rough terrain. Enduro bikes also rely on special dual-sport tires that ensure the best traction and pliability on both pavement and off road track. The main difference that sets apart an enduro motorcycle from a regular one is the presence of a speedometer and an odometer to track the speed of the competing rider.
