Team Off Camber National Enduro Series Round 3 Race Report
This past weekend the AMA National Enduro Series continued with the 3rd round in Forest Hill, LA. The event was hosted by the Acadiana Dirt Riders club and held in the Kisatchie State Forest. The weather was beautiful and the trail was perfect for the 250 riders that attended. The Off Camber Racing/Pro Moto Billet Fastway team had 2 riders in attendance. Randy and Mandi Mastin both enjoyed victories in the south this weekend.
The trail consisted of many different elements. One section was a tight woods section and the others were fast and technical. These perfect conditions allowed veteran Super Senior A champion, Randy Mastin to gain an edge on his competitors early in the race. Randy said, "I enjoyed the race today. The club did an awesome job designing the trail system. I was a little sluggish off the start today, but half way through the race I found my groove." This gives Randy a perfect score of 90 after 3 rounds, with 2nd place trailing with 46 points.
Mandi Mastin, reigning Women's champion, also had a great weekend, winning her class. Mandi decided to give the WR250 a shot and proved that she isn't just a 125 2-stroke rider. "I had a blast riding this weekend! It was so different to be racing a 4-stroke. I have a lot to learn, but I had a great time! The trails were good and it was just a fun weekend all in all!" Mandi will be practicing on the 4-stroke more and most likely you will see her on it for the rest of year at the National Enduro's and OMA Nationals. Mandi's win this past weekend also gives her a perfect score of 90 after 3 rounds, with 2nd place trailing with 62 points.
The overall results are as follows:
1st Lafferty with 29 points
2nd Bobbitt with 29 points and only 3 seconds behind!!!
3rd Palmer with 32 points
4th Kirkpatrick with 33 points
5th Melik with 37 points
