WMA To Be Featured In Sunday Program During The AMA Pro Motocross Weekend

WMA To Be Featured In Sunday Program During The AMA Pro Motocross Weekend
Bend, OR (May 14, 2008) - The Women's Motocross Association (WMA) announces today that the 2008 championship features an all-new race weekend schedule that will showcase the WMA racers during the primetime Sunday program of the AMA Toyota Motocross Championship presented by FMF. AMA/WMA Championship rounds will take place at six of the AMA men's national events and the new schedule has the WMA riders competing in their second moto on Sunday afternoon with moto one taking place on Saturday, bookending the men's program.
Feedback from the WMA riders and WMA series sponsors, along with series sponsors Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A., Honda Rider's Club of America, Dunlop Tires, Alpinestars, The Original Pink Box, Thor MX Gear, Drill Tech Drilling and Shoring, Team Powermadd, Polisport, Meterman Utilities Pro, and ZLT Racing, has been overwhelmingly positive.
The new race schedule, by the far the best position the WMA has ever received at the nationals, a result of a collaborative effort and tremendous support from the NPG, the promoters, and the AMA, will offer great exposure for the WMA racers and their sponsors.
The 2008 schedule is:
Saturday
WMA Practice 12:30pm
WMA Pro Moto One 4:05pm
Sunday
WMA Pro Autographs 12:00pm - 1:00pm
WMA Pro Moto Two 2:40pm
The opening round of the 2008 AMA/WMA Women's National Motocross Championship presented by Kawasaki will be May 31 - June 1 at the Hangtown Classic, Sacramento, CA.
