well i would connect a battery directly to the starter motor first, to either eliminate the starter motor problem. then its less expensive stuff from there.
Hi guys,
I got a problem with my DR650 ('94 model). It won't start. My uncle gave it to me and it started without a problem. A week later (didn't ride it) it was pretty tough turning it on. I had to jumpstart it (felt like the battery was low, but my uncle told me he just put a new one in). Then yesterday I experienced the same problems, so I tried to jumpsart it again. But now it wouldn't start at all! The lights and horn and all is workin fine, but the starter motor isn't turning.
So I think there can only be three parts considered causing the problem: the ignition switch, the wires to the starter motor or the starter motor itsself...
I would be grateful for any hint.
Thanks guys

ya jimmyhoffa had a problem like this with his quad. his main fuse kept corroding excesively. he would take it out and clean everything off and go out for a lap around the track and get back and his quad would die again. kept making corrosion instantly. turned out to be a loose battery connection
