i have a pair of justins leather work boots, sure they are paper thin, but until i need boots, they will work, and so will my etnies. i just never really even needed boots or any saftey gear for that matter.

riding jersey? protective gear? lol

paper thin is no good

you should get a pair of boots like i have (they are not good for ankle support though)
the things are bullet proof, literally
steel sole, steel tow, steel arch, Kevlar from the tow to the ankle, completely waterproof
