I am a Chevy guy all the way but when I was a teenager I had a little 4cyl Rnager that I beat the s__t out of. I used to go trail running with guys in full size 4x4's (one of them was actually a F-350 with a built 460 and military 2 ton running gear with 42" tires.) and they got tired of me tailgating them so they would put me in front! Momentum can make up for a lot of things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to launch that thing everywhere I could. We had a dip in the road (about 10 foot deep) and I launched out of it at about 65 to 70mph. Felt like I was in the air forever. Probably flew for about 50ft or so. The I tried it my my '73 Cadillac Eldorado. NOT GOOD!!! The thing bottomed out so hard that I had tire rub marks in the top of all four fenderwells. Smashed the tranny pan into the downshift solenoid and it would not shift untill it was at redline. I could drive at 60mph in first gear!!
