i change my oil every few months. sometimes every month. i dont see any need to change it so constantly. the oil usually still looks pretty healthy when i change it. and i use high quality oil (mobil 1, or promix) besides, it doesnt get beat any more than the lawnmower, and we change it every spring.

It gets beat when you ride hard. For example racing. Even if you are using synthetics I would still recommend frequent oil changes.

lawn mower only reves to about 3,500 to...
that is much easier on the engine

mine is just starting to darken when i change it...

When I ride, I ride from 7:00AM - 5:00PM. 10 hours of riding takes it out of you. Now, how many of those hours are actually engine hours, I do not know. I know that on my RM-Z250 the oil change was supposed to happen every 15 which was the same time you were supposed to change the rings.
