you might also have an inline adjuster follow the cable and look for somthing you can put a couple of wrenches on. loosen them and twist it open until you take up most not all of the slack in the lever than retighten the nuts.

wow, that fixed the slack issue, which probably fixed the issue having to pull it in very far, which probably fixed the too hard to pull in thing. Thanks alot, its too dark to start it up now, so ill see how it is tomorrow. I miss the most simplest things but only with dirtbikes. Ill check for kinks tomorrow also

its got too much slack in it, tighten up the cable at the location closest to the motor.
