Whats the problem

OK, so i was trail riding my cr85 for a while yesterday. I was in 5th gear down the road, and i went to give it more gas to keep up with my friends, and my bike basically shut off, kinda like locked up. I pulled in the clutch and rolled to a stop. I thought i was just out of gas, but i filled it up, changed the spark plug, cleaned the air filter, and it wont start. Ive tried roll starting it, everyway possible to start it. Did my top end blow? What else might the problem be before i spend $100 on a top end.
When i try kick starting it, it does absolutley nothing, when i try roll starting it, you can hear it starting for a second but then shutting right off.

Nah, as long as you can turn the engine over, nothing is seized. I would pull the reed cage out and make sure none of the reeds are missing.

Between the carb and the cylinder, take off the carb(shut off the gas!!!)there should be an intake manifold (rubber)than the reeds, looks like a thick gasket from the side. They set in the cylinder so you can't see them from the outside.Post a pic if your not sure and we can pin point it.Your still cool if your a noob cause your trying!!!

which is why there should be 17mm plug on the bottom of the float bowl.
