Its the same thing. Only it sucks on 4 strokes because you have two cables and they have a plastic L bend thing that doesn't real allow lubing to happen.

well my cable setup is the same as TJs bike which really sucks. but it was doing that when it got the cable and it was new

Hmm... I know you said it was routed right but even right is wrong sometimes. I have never just put a cable back on my bike. I always have to mess with it for like an hour to get things right.

Somtimes you have to reroute them till they break in, or use a ty wrap to decrease a bend.

You take it off the lever when you lube it, right? Lube it till you see the lube come out the bottom.

being lubed is not the problem, it was like this when it was new, it just got hard to pull for some reason, even when i had my stock cable on it
