![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ok, take a drill, drill out the old threads MAKE SURE BOTH THE HOLE AND TAP ARE THE APPROPRIATE SIZE! i like to use oil to keep the bit cool. now, take a wrench or tap wrench and slowly thread the tap in the hole. done. use plenty of oil to lube the tap too.

![]() | yea the drill part is right because ive seen it done, but the tapping part, i dont know... thats what im confused about, maybe a magnet will get them out thats what i use when drill on cars and stuff, it pulls the shavings rihgt out |

| Administrator | Magnet gonna pull those aluminum case shavings out? Drilling will put shavings into the case no matter what. I have done my fair share of drilling holes LOL and I know what happens.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | tig is right, when it comes to drilling holes, not blowing the shavings out will really screw things up and you only get lucky 1% of the time. my dad helicoile'd my xr75 spark plug hole when we first got it and i didnt find out until the other day when i found shavings in my engine
