you only have to worry about the float when you take the bowl off... just pull the bowl straight off the carb easy if it does not move once the screws are out tap on it with the big end of a screwdriver

its easy, basically you pull off your tank, seat, and valve cover, set the engine at top dead center, and measure the clearance with the feeler gauge.

ok the gauge i have is all metal things at differnet thickness do i just keep puttin them in the clearance untill one fits tight?
