hard starting may mean its running a little lean at low rpm
have you had the compression tested?
so, you mean the bike will idle by it self?(with out you giving it gas)

you should get a new spark plug every year if you can

yeah the compression seems fine but it is just really hard to start i dont know if its me or the bike i have strong legs and i have to giv it the most hardest kick in the world for it to finally start and it does idle by its self but sometimes it will just die i dont know what that problem is

so its hard to turn over? (get the engine to spin)

sounds like it does not spark here and there
check for loose wires and replace the spark plug

well, there is only two things i can think of that would cause that
one is loss of spark due to wiring or bad plug
and the second is loss of fuel or flooding

Hmmm... MY CRF450R takes a pretty hard kick to get it going but that is just normal. Once it dies does it start again right away? I know you said it was hard to start after it dies but does it start back up? What happens if you use the hot start lever after it dies? What happens when you start it cold with the choke? What happens when you try to restart it with the choke on after it has died? Does it make any noises when it cuts out? Like does it just stop or slowly drop down in speed until it dies?

Lots of questions but it will help me greatly in diagnosing the problem.

it doesnt start right away i usualy get really anoyed leave it to cool for abit then restart it and when i use the hot start it usually feels like some of the compression has gone and it dies slowly asif the gas is running out it just sounds like it dies i pull the clutch in rev it and it just dies in about 3 seconds
