then why do you suggest i run 80 gear oil?I run belray hr1 as premix and belray gearsaver in the tranny.

im not familar with hr1.
Gear saver is usually the best stuff to run in a tranny. my best guess is the oil broke down and didnt offer adequate protection.

that would be the quicksilver i had to run when i ran out of h1r.
fried the piston i will never run anything other than high qualty oil from now on . H1r is as good or better than maxma 927.
