Gold coating on the bottom end

i have a 1994 yz250 im am rebuilding it right now. there is a gold colored coating on the cases. it rubs off and looks like glitter on your fingers. do yall have any idea what this is?

its usually oil film and metal shavings. at any case take a magnet and rub it around down by it and see if its steel. if its steel i would really take a look at the dog teeth and gears because u really shouldnt have metal in your crankcase. every time a change my oil i rub a magnet around in it just to make sure i dont have a problem.

i dont think it is. its a rubber type substance. i will be geting some batteries later today so i can show yall.
