Air Filter Ceaning

I know that this is a stupid question, but i might as well ask cause i just got my cr85 and dont want to mess up anything. I know how to clean the air filter and everything. But ive been reading eveywhere and it says to grease the sealing surface or the air filter where it contacts the air box. I dont know where the sealing surface is, so where am i supposed to greese...I know its a stupid question. Do u guys have a pic of the sealing surface or something. Thanks alot

you really dont have to worry about this too much. i purposely removed all the grease from mine and have not seen a spec of dust in the intake boot. anyway though, if you want to you can. the "sealing surface" is just where the air filter touches the intake boot. you are supposed to apply air filter grease all around that part of the air filter. it should already be greased, so that will give you an idea of where you are supposed to grease.

whats the intake boot? Is it what the filter is installed on. (the metal or black tube)
