start at the plug wire and work your way back, are you sure the plug just isnt fouled out?

yea. go from the the plug then check to make sure the wire is tight on the cap. if that doesnt work make sure youre coil is good. if that is fine go to your stator and check it to see if it is rusted or something isnt right with it. then you have to go to your cdi unit and if that is the problem youre going to have to get a new cdi undit.

i work from the coil back check it with a ohm meter if you have one
you have to test it from the ground to cdi and ground to spark plug

you can't test from the wire going to the cdi straight to the spark plug

if that is fine check the cdi and make sure it is getting signal if it is not check the point and finally check your stator and make sure it is not burn up, to test this ground one end of the AC voltage tester and put the other on the wire coming out then test it for amperage (to test these you may need some one to kick start the bike for you) in testing the amperage you need to put a known load on the stator such as a 12v 2 amp light bulb 24W
