seeking for a good advice - klutch problem yz 125 04 - Page 2

ok the article is real good but i forgat to mention that i replaced the basket with the plates at the first time

i would remove the clutch cover and look at the inner hub then. this is basically the "basket" on the inside of the clutch disks. look for any grooves in the side of it. if it has grooves replace it. this problem may just be new clutch symptoms but i would first check the inner hub.

plates soaking in oil will not cause these problems.

maybe the rod/ bearing that pushes on the clutch is worn?

ya it would... if there is nothing there to compress the springs the plates can't separate

the 04 yz 125 has like a sprocket that turns when you pull the lever and it hooks into the pressure plate that gets pulled, rather than pushed. one of these might have broken put he would know it if he did
