It seems I have settled on a CBR F4I. Maybe it is because I am currently looking at an '05 running $4500. With a top speed of only 160mph, I am slightly disappointed but 48mpg brings me up a bit. 0-150 time is 20 seconds which makes me sad but I will deal as well. Dyno run says the engine can spin up to 175mph but that is completely unlikely to ever happen in real world conditions. Any comments?

When are you going to use all that power in the real world! Just buy yourself the bike and be happy

im a big yamaha fan when it comes to the streetbikes i like there r1's and r6's.

unless you live in a place with relatively straight roads you don't need that much power. like my dads bike is way overkill for around here unless you want to shoot over the other side of a hill

Well, I want to at least be able to double all the highway speed limits plus some. We have plenty of straight roads, my buddy hit 151 on his F4I on his first day with no prior experience. I have also been looking at Yamaha and Suzuki. I think I may have one lined up if I can talk him down.

i wish we had some strips around here so i could find out how fast my dads bike goes... he has had it to 140 but i know it has to go faster than that

and have good fuel mileage and low insurance (for my dads it only like $50 a month)
