K, I was planning on buying an edelbrock for my nova, but a friend told me they were simply rebranded carters, which were junk. My question is, is this true, and is a quadrajet better?

said friend is a ford fan, and he bought a converter to run a quadra on his ford step side :O
should i buy edelbrock or rob a quadrajet off a junk car or truck in the yard :O

I've never heard that about edelbrock,the quadrajet is a good carb but can be finicky at times. try calling Summit Racing Equipment 800 230 3030 they saved me some money on wires and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need

quadrajet is an awesome carb, but thats a load of shit about the edelbrock, they are extremely reliable, and a respected brand

thats what I thought, but if they truly are rebranded carters.............
I was planning on using mostly edelbrock parts, I probably will except for the carb.

my bro's old truck had an edelbrock carb, never had a single problem with it, just about everything but the carb had a problem with it
