u are probally going to want to look at the crf250r or a cr125. if u want even more power check out the crf450r or a cr250.

i really enjoy a 4 stroke, they have horsepower throughout their entire rpm range and they rev higher than 2's. they dont weigh much more either. they cost a lot more to buy and maintain but i think its worth it. have a look at the forum topic i created 2'S VS. 4'S. idk it just yur preference. both bike run relatively close lap times, but 4's just have soo much more power. i spent so much time making fun of 4's and said i would never get one, but i looked at a dyno chart of 4 strokes and two days later i bought one.

also a 250 two stroke/450 four stroke would notbe too big for u. its a beast to hold on to, but i have ridden a yz250 and it ripped. i can only imagine what the 450f could do. i would have bought one if i had the money.

no do not buy these bikes, they r trail bikes and u will be dissatisfied with everything about them. if u want a honda get the CR/F R series bikes. if u want a yamaha get the YZ/F series. ktm has some nice innovations but they also have a little extra weight and are so expensive.

he asked for something with a bit of a kick and a trail bike is not gonna do that. u dont have to race just to use the racing series of bikes. they have some many more innovations and power is a huge factor. i definately ride my rmz250 through the trails with no prob, but i also ride tracks too. u should try to get a racing series bike if u have the extra cash, yull enjoy it.
