are you putting the por-15 base on or the top coat?

POR15 as a base for the frame with Krylon flat white to come and clear coat. Everything else stays POR15 black.

hey tig, i have an old NEXT bike i got when i was 8, its very light and looks ok, its a bare frame at the moment, but i was wondering if there was an easy conversion to get my rear brake not to engage when i pedal backwards.

yea take out the brake pads inside...

if you ever ride a pro bike you will see how crappy walmart bikes are its very sad...
i think that will look awesome tig
are you painting the hub, spokes, and rims?

plenty

theres a couple good wal-mart ones. mongooses are sold at wal-mart and they are almost ready to go right out of the store. my next just sucked, so i pulled everything off down to the bare frame and im going to try to make it a decent bike. if youve ever skated, you will also find that wal-mart has 1 good skateboard too. Air speed skateboards. although its an 8.0, it has a nice concave to it and a good round lip. they are saveable. what you need to do is replace the bottom truck piece with some thunder ones, get some do-do bushings to replace those AWFUL stock bushings. the last thing you need to do is throw on some abec7 bearings, and some element wheels. there you go. a board compareable to a professional skate shop board

The wheels are all black minus the nipples. Spokes in these pictures are stainless but somehow I got black. Oh well.

no, no walmart bike is good...
good mongoose mountain bikes cost 3k easy
you will see once you ride a good bike they are supper solid

reinforced rim walls? double walled what ever they are called?
if so those are going to last you forever

im talking bmx man,

ive ridden "real" bikes and they were great, but the mongoose wasnt far behind at all.
