Should i part out or sell?

Hey, my 1996 XR250R needs a valve adjustment or something like that, really low compression. Would it be worth it to fix it and sell it as a whole, or leave it and part it out on ebay?

You have to ask your self if its worth the time to take it apart and sell it part by part. A person like myself with very little free time would just sell it as is cheap for a bit of cash... Thats my two cents

Parting out would get you more cash but take longer and leave you with a bunch of random parts that nobody wants. Selling outright will get you less cash a less drama.

well in my opinion i would sacrifice time if it was going to equal more cash. it depends though, because parting out on ebay can get a bit pricey with all the listing fees. idk if u do it right parting out usually does give u lots more cash.

A lot of the time the extra cash does not make up for the lost time. My general rule is that if you know you can part it out for more then do it otherwise just get rid of it. I tried to part out my 86 XR600 (project bike that was inpeices but complete)and wasted more time and energy doing it than it was worth. Finally got tired of looking at it and sold it for $100.
