| Super Moderator | there should be a title. a wr would be easier to convert to a dual sport. paper work for both should be the same. Oh and welcome to the site.

| Super Moderator | if hes registered it in canada, thats where you are right? there should be paperwork for it there, if not you need to. so long as it meets the requirements (usually turn signals head light tail light horn mirrors) you shouldnt have a problem registering it for street use. not a high way bike though.

| Administrator | Even in Canada you register your bikes... I wouldn't buy a bike without paper work... Just makes it a pain to register... He should have gotten registration when he purchased the bike in the US also... Ask him if he paid import taxes to check to make sure he brought it into the country in a legal manner too...

| A Rider | I would go to your local motor vehicle department (or equivelant) and ask them what all you need to get it registered and street legal for your area. The bike will have a VIN number on the frame that can be used for registration purposes. Make sure you get a bill of sale (just a basic letter stating who you are, who you bought it from, selling price and then both of you need to sign it) to show that you legally purchased the bike. When you find out what you need as far as lighting let us know and we can get you hooked up. Oh yeah we welcome you to the site. Is it just me or are all the new members Yamaha riders.
