Scariest/Wierdest Thing

Thats happened to you while offroading?? i got this from another forum and just wanted to hear any good stories you guys have?? The scarriest thing thats happened to me was i was burnin down a trail in the woods behind my house on my quad, a huge (well it looked huge) black bear ran across the trail in front of me, not more that 10 feet away, scared me so bad i cut the bars and i got thrown off my bike, i stood up and saw the bear watchin me from about 30 yards, i froze and hauled azz to my bike, got the heck outta there, damn bear just ran off

and another, we were on a night ride, riding with friend before i had a bike, stopped on top of a hill talking, heard some coyotes getting REAL close, another guy somehow got his fingers caught between front sprocket and chain, cut two of them off, he jumped on with the kid i was riding with and they took off, i was left alone with a dozen coyotes close, pulled out my Ka-Bar knife and i swear to god i rean 2 miles in under 5 minutes in the pitch black

the scariest thing ive ever seen is my buddy lose control of his quad in front of me on a mountain trail. rolled off the side and fell 600 vertical feet, he bailed though.

I have a couple OK stories

I had a guy run a stop sign in front of me and I T-boned ham. His car flipped back over front and landed upside down on a parked car.

Was running across a big field on a camping trip with my parent (was about 10-12 years old) and jumped over a big hole in the field (the filed was full of gopher and snake holes). Looked down to see a rattle snake kicking it in the hole. Scared the s--t out of me.

Was hauling a-- on a curvy road in an 88 Ford Escort GT. Came around a left hander a little hot and spun the car out. After the spin I was heading straight for a little burm on the RH side of road. Over the burm was about a 80 to 100 foot drop into a rocky riverbed. All four tires were locked up and I could not steer out of it. At the last second my instincts took over and I left of the brakes, cranked the wheel over and punched it. I came about three feet from shooting over the burm and killing myself. All this happened in less than 5 seconds.

amazing how quickly things can go wrong isnt it?
I forgot to add, it was a group of three this quad was the center, i was rear, and his brother was front, his brother never even knew it happened until he got to the top and we werent there. so little tiny me and my wr end up trucking down a mountain at night, and alone. I forgot to add that the bike performed with out flaw, met and exceded what i wanted in a bike.

o so i have a story similar to the car story wopstar told. was cruising at this turn that had a suggested speed of 15 and thats way to fast still to take it. the turn is almost a full 180 degree turn instantly. well ole tig here was doin 40 at it and i was like ya i an drift that(me and my friends were racin somewhere) anyway, spun around twice and a half and car slid to stop about 2 feet from a 40ft drop off. tire tracks were there for weeks and i would point them out only to have people be like wtf thats crazy.
