mototips needs your help

I am currently working on a project and I need a little bit of help with it. I am working an a riding area database that is a little better then what we already have. Since I know I dont know where every riding area is in the world I would like some help from you. I want to know about the places you ride so we can provide better information for people looking for info about certain riding areas.

So I am looking for:
1. A link to the riding area from google maps. Google Maps
2. A little information about the riding area. Hours, what is available, fees, phone number, address, and anything else you think people may find helpful.
3. If you have any pictures of the area please get them to me via attachment in this post. If you are posting multiple areas please make sure to post each area in a new post.

What I would like to see in this thread is our little community come together as we work on making one of the best databases of riding areas ever created. I know there are databases out there but nothing really has everything you are looking for and I would like all the information one is looking for right at the fingertips of the user.

If you have any questions please feel free to post them too. If you dont want to help out thats ok also. This is going to be a big project and will highly depend on what users contribute. Thank you very much for your help and thank you all for being such great community members!

ok, so are we just looking for new ones that arent in the riding areas of this site? or do you just kinda want to start over? either way, i will get some stuff together for missouri and illinois.

I kinda want to start over. The information i have now is not that detailed. I really want to build a detailed database and if i dont have all the information im looking for i dont even want to have it listed. Pretty much what I vision is each area having a page and on that page you will have your satellite image of the area, current weather, directions, hours, pictures, movies if I can find them on the web. And of course links back to mototips to discuss the riding area. This site will be built on a little different domain and with different software then what we are running here. Something that is a little more suitable for easy user interaction as I know forums can be tricky for some people. LOL

well if you need a mod over there, let me know. also, how much space are you planning on renting on the server for that site? 800tb? lol jk. anyway, so its going to be a different domain name, do you have one yet? it is going to be an amazing site, the weather updates is one of those awesome features that just makes it cool.

Dont have a domain name yet. Was going to have a naming contest as the community gets more and more active. The site wont have forums or anything that is what we are for here. It is going to reference mototips all over the place. As for server space I have plenty of room on the server here at mototips as this really is my only running project right now. Some of the other high traffic sites i used to run are no longer running. So much for playing the wave then watching it crash. Im done with what is popular on the web and would like to build my dirt bike brand as being the number one source for information on dirtbikes. I look at sites like mxearth and it can be so much more. So can our database of tracks. And there is another one I used to use but really its kind of old school. I figure its time to start spreading out a little bit. I know there is still lots of work to do here though too which I am working on that too. We will just keep this thread going and keep getting information like this is a fish net and eventually I will take all the info and put it to good use for the full community

You can help. Go to maps.google.com pull up your riding area. Get me the link. Then tell us about your riding area the address zip code and stuff like that. Anyone can help out with this project!
