| Administrator | The reed cage should just pull out. If it doesn't then those screws are the obvious answer and you will need to remove them somehow.

| Pro Mototips Member | i doubt it has anything to do with the reed cage, but checking it doesnt hurt, just take the head off and look at the top of the piston, make sure you use new gaskets for putting it together, itshould take you no more than 1 hour to do it

| Administrator | You should flex the reeds and look for any cracks, while I go back and read the first part of this thread to even know what we are talking about.

| Pro Mototips Member | look at the end of the reeds and see if they are frayed, then check to makle sure they completely close and there isnt a little gap in them and the reed valve, your bike looks newer so is should be fine, they use carbon fiber now in them stock so it should be fine

| Administrator | Did you drain your coolant?

| Pro Mototips Member | take off your gas tank and drain the coolant, then on the hondas you have to take off the carb to take the cylinder off, after that take off your radiators and then take off your bolts at the bottom of the cylinder that hold it on, there are 4 and i think there is a cover on the powervalve linkage that needs to come off and that might cover up the 4th bolt on the cylinder, after that loosen up your bolts on the head and the brace that holds the head to the frame, then take the cylinder off, check your piston and put a new one in, or if it is fine clean it off and then put your cylinder back on and reasemble, with new gaskets of course
