Cold Starting

I have a 2002 CR250R.That i got about 2 months ago.The bike was idleing very low i always had to hit the gas to keep it going. So i turned the idle screw so the bike would idle nice at operating temp. But now when i start the bike cold.It idles high with the choke off untill it warms up.Just wanted to know if this is normal.
Thanks

It isn't going to cause any trouble. I always let my bikes warm up completely with choke otherwise they die on me.

yea, the air inside the crankase is cold and this makes it run lean, also if you completly drain your float bowl and then open up the fuel line it takes a little while for it to fill up and while its doing so it will run a little lean, just an explanation on why its happening, but no, it wont hurt it
