Ah, ya the desert would be the place for one. Never enough hp for paddles. Do you want a new one or used older model. There are the new ServiceHonda CR500AF bikes which run about $10,000 and then there are the older CR500 bikes. Not sure what they cost. I would suggest eBay as usual.

well you wont get a newer one then. used ones dont lose any value literally. dont get one if its not a AF. it was an old and outdated chassis. i would suggest a KX500, they are a better bike. and service honda now has a KX500AF, using the KX450 frame, it is a sure win. the CR500 didnt even have a powervalve, i know you are thinking that the engine doesnt need any more bottom end but that just shows you how outdated the engine is compared to the kx500
2001 YZ-426f- Aftermarket radiators, radiator braces, rebuilt forks, new linkage bearings, new piston, wrapped header, 5th dragon graphics(or some shit), TAG tripple tree(Thanks TDB) and Turner OV bars.

the new ones dont have a powervalve? The only thing that bugs me on a kx500 is that rear fender is soo ugly i know it sounds wierd that such a thing would stop someone from buying a bike but ew lol
