Hi I just loosened the back spring off by about 3/4in now the bike is about right. I can get my leg over without having to find something to stand on.

yes, i was going to say to make sure your sag is right. adjusting the tension of the rear spring is a big deal. i know i have an article on it somewhere, i will find it.

alright, to setup your sag you need a tape measure, thats all. well, you need a screwdriver and hammer. i know you said it was fine, but at least measure it. measure from the center of the rear axle up to where the rear fender meets the side panels. now convert that distance to mm, i use google. next, have someone measure the distance with you sitting on the bike. dont just sit on it though, plop down on it a few times. also remember that you can have any legs down on the ground and you should be sitting on the bike as if you were riding it. i think i did mine in the basement where i could hold the bike centered by a low pipe. hold the bike perfectly level. anyways, this measurement should be 100mm less.

the seat trick is good but i would suggest setting sag right. this is the most important and will affect bike handling the most. therefore, get your sag right and if you still cant touch the ground then have your seat shaved down.
