Honda CR80 Shifter Question

Hi I was wondering if any body can help, I have a 1985 cr80 and I have found a shifter for it but it is a 2001 I was wondering if anybody knows if it will fit.

check the part numbers on Yamaha of Troy

you should be able to find parts on ebay, even for your 1985 cr80. i had an '89 rm80 and found loads of parts on ebay.
