hey guys, i have an 85 cr500 and i was wondering were the vin number was located. i cant find it and its starting to worry me.... thanks. john

it is on the neck of the frame.(part where the bearings for the bars are) it is always on the side of the neck.

****.... im not seeing it anywhere on the neck. i've felt around on the neck cause the green sticker is on the neck.... but i cant feel anything. the green sticker on there is from 97.... im begining to think sumthin up here....

i think i found it.....i think its under the green sticker itself.....can i take that sticker off? i can feel something under there on the right side but i cant tell what it is....

NO, you live in cali so i would not take this off. this is most likely the green sticker registration option. take it off and you cost yourself $50.
